Levu is an internal C2C e-commerce platform that aims to facilitate seamless transactions and connections among buyers and sellers.

Challenges

Levu aims to provide a reliable and efficient internal C2C e-commerce platform. However, several challenges stood in the way of achieving this goal:

– Establishing trust and security: As an internal C2C platform, building and maintaining trust regarding transaction security, data privacy, and dispute resolution is paramount. The lack of traditional intermediary oversight in C2C transactions can lead to concerns about fraudulent activities, misrepresentation of items, or payment issues.

– User experience and engagement: Designing an intuitive, user-friendly interface that encourages adoption and sustained engagement is vital. This includes seamless listing creation, effective search and filtering, clear communication channels between buyers and sellers, and a smooth checkout process.

– Content moderation and quality control: Managing user-generated content (listings, descriptions, images) and ensuring its appropriateness and quality can be challenging. Mechanisms are needed to prevent the sale of prohibited items or misleading information.

Solutions

To overcome the challenges, Hola Tech adhered to the best practices. Key components of the solution included:

– Implement robust authentication and authorization: Leverage NestJS’s capabilities for secure user authentication and role-based authorization to ensure only authorized employees can access and perform specific actions on the platform.

– Develop an intuitive and responsive UI: Create a user-friendly and visually appealing front-end using ReactJS, focusing on clear navigation, easy listing creation, advanced search filters, and responsive design for various devices.

– Establish clear content moderation and reporting tools: Develop tools within the platform for users to report inappropriate content or behavior, alongside an administrative moderation system to review and manage listings, ensuring adherence to platform guidelines.

Results

The implemented platform successfully met Levu’s requirements for secure internal transactions, user engagement, and efficient content management. This C2C e-commerce solution significantly enhanced Levu internal team’ ability to buy and sell items within the company, having maintained an average of 70% Monthly Active Users (MAU) and facilitated over 1,800 successful transactions since launch. Levu has empowered their team with a convenient and reliable marketplace, demonstrating its success in providing a valuable internal resource for fostering community and promoting reuse.
