Fantom.meme aimed to simplify token creation and launching on the Fantom network, while prioritizing security and community. However, several challenges stood in the way of achieving this goal:
– Combating malicious projects and scams: Implementing a vetting process or safeguards to prevent the launch of fraudulent or low-quality tokens, thereby protecting the community and the launchpad’s reputation, was a crucial challenge.
– Ensuring smart contract security and reliability: As a platform handling token creation and distribution, guaranteeing the security of underlying Solidity smart contracts against vulnerabilities, exploits, and rug pulls was paramount to building user trust.
– User experience for non-technical users: Simplifying the complex technical process of token creation and launch for users without extensive blockchain development knowledge presented a significant UX challenge.
Solutions
To overcome the challenges, Hola Tech adhered to the best practices. Key components of the solution included:
– Implement project vetting and community safeguards: Fantom.meme established a clear process for project submissions, potentially incorporating automated checks or community-driven vetting mechanisms to identify and mitigate risks associated with malicious projects. Besides, real-time monitoring of transactions and platform activity was enabled by Node.js on AWS Lambda.
– Strengthen security measures: Fantom.meme carried out rigorous security audits for its Solidity smart contracts. This made sure they were strong and resilient. Additionally, the launchpad used The Graph to reliably index and query on-chain token data. Sensitive off-chain data and configurations were securely managed with Mongo Atlas. Finally, Infura IPFS stored static assets for decentralized availability.
– Enhance user experience: Fantom.meme developed a user-friendly ReactJS frontend that offered a simplified, no-code interface for creating and configuring new tokens on Fantom. This streamlined the process for users without technical expertise, making token launches accessible.
